I found your gallery through The Yard, i saw your Havana Street, shot and i really liked it, iu voted for it in the Best of this month at the yard, and then i saw this amazing story, maybe becouse im cuban and im uses to this kind of acts but looking it through another people eyes it really looks amazing, im cuban and proud of it and im sure she will love your pictures when she recieve them...
Thank you for sharing this story and giving importance to my people.
Hope you enjoyed the "Guarapo" (This is the Drink, Guarapera is the place where people drink Guarapo :D)

Because there doesn't seem to be anyway to attach pictures to submitted literature and I wanted to include the photographs. Literature submissions can be text or html but I tried several time to embed the images using html but just couldn't get it to work and can only assume that mixing images with prose is not possible. DA would not allow me to upload the the jpeg format I eventually used in the literature category.

That's interesting. I have never seen a piece of literature with images here on DA, you are right, people do not use a combination of written word and images, a real shame that DA should not have a provision for this, just like you cannot use marks such as ! in the title of deviations. But I like the format you have chosen and, with your permission, would like to pinch the idea from you. I love writing. Presumably, if I use other people's images I can acknowledge this in the body of the piece.
